My dad, Dan Horcher, opened up Horcher’s Service Inc. on September 1st, 1958. It started as a two bay Sinclair Gas Station at the corner of Dundee Rd & Milwaukee Avenue in Wheeling. Then, in 1967 we moved to our present location which is a half a mile north of the original location.

Our shop is very large, with 4 bays for car repair and 3 bays for truck repair. We currently have four techs and one service manager that handles all our day to day operations. We are the oldest auto, truck repair & towing facility in the town of Wheeling, and have become a pillar of the community.

We like to think of ourselves as an “old school” type of shop – the kind all the guys would go to “shoot the breeze” on a Saturday. We’ve worked hard to create a warm and friendly atmosphere, one that people walk into and feel like they are at a Mom and Pop Shop because we want our clients to feel at home whenever they drop by.

We are one big family here, and even our customers can testify!

Horcher’s Service Inc. has been a vital part of the community for 60 years! We know that many people and commercial clients rely on us to keep them going. If they don’t have reliable transportation, then they can’t do the business they need to do. So, lets say our client’s AC doesn’t work in their vehicle, that might mean someone with Asthma goes without their air conditioning in the heat of summer! Or what about our client that is a hospice nurse and her car breaks down, and she can’t get to patient unless we get her up and going?! People depend on us and we LOVE to help people! We are in the people business, we just happen to fix cars and trucks! Oh and we do it all to honor God!!! We believe in one Loving Savior, Jesus Christ!!!

We believe we have been blessed by God to bless others, so we give to our church Willow Creek Community Church, Compassion International, we also support Wheeling Helping Hands and the Wheeling/Prospect Heights Chamber of Commerce.

Since Jose is bilingual, speaking fluent English and Spanish, he not only has great language skills but he has the social skills needed to work with others from varying cultures and backgrounds. We are proud to have him on our team!
